Steve Slaton a sophomore slump?

Is something wrong with Steve Slaton? The 2nd year running back out of West Virginia seems to be on the verge of a “sophomore slump“. Just a year ago, Slaton ran 268 times for 1282 yards and 9 rushing touchdowns. Through three games this year, Steve Slaton has just 38 rushes for 127 yards and NO touchdowns. Not a good start. His touches seem to be down a bit and his average yards per carry is down over 1.5 yards per carry. To be fair, the Texans have played some pretty stingy defenses in weeks 1-2-3. The Jets, Titans and Jags are no slouch defensively. Let’s hope Slaton is not going to slump all year and he’s just getting warmed up. My gut tells me he is about the bust out for some bigtime games as they have Oakland and Arizona in the upcoming weeks. The Texans need him to run effectively, thats for sure.
